Providing Opportunity to Prevent Trafficking

Nigeria faces a staggering reality: more than 70 million of its people lack access to safe drinking water. This deprivation is a stark reflection of the widespread poverty gripping the nation, with many families struggling to survive on less than $1 a day.

Nowhere is this hardship more acutely felt than in the rural villages, where living conditions are dire, and women bear the brunt of the suffering. Plagued by violent conflicts and deprived of basic necessities such as food, water, clothing, and shelter, these women endure unimaginable hardships. They toil tirelessly in the fields to eke out a meager existence, while also undertaking grueling journeys to fetch water for their families.

Tragically, these journeys often expose them to grave dangers, with girls being particularly vulnerable to human trafficking. As they navigate long distances in search of water, they become easy prey for predators who subject them to sexual abuse, abduction, and exploitation. Many are forced into prostitution rings or consigned to a life of servitude.

But there is hope. By extending a helping hand, we can transform the lives of these women and their communities. Your donation can provide access to safe drinking water, alleviating the burden of water scarcity and safeguarding women from the perils of their daily journeys. In addition to water initiatives, we’re committed to empowering women through livelihood and training programs. By equipping them with skills and resources, we enable them to break the cycle of poverty and exploitation. Your contribution can make a world of difference.
