Empowering Lives: A Pastor’s Fight Against Poverty

In the heart of Hyderabad’s slums, Pastor PK is igniting change through innovative initiatives aimed at tackling poverty head-on. With unwavering dedication, he leads a transformative sewing school for women and a computer class for the youth, aiming to uplift his community from the grips of impoverishment.

Situated amidst the challenges of urban poverty, PK’s church serves as a beacon of hope. Under his guidance, livelihood programs flourish, offering impoverished women the opportunity to acquire vital skills necessary to kickstart their own businesses and secure sustainable incomes. Upon completion of the sewing school, graduates are equipped with not just newfound skills but also a brand-new sewing machine, a tool to jumpstart their entrepreneurial journey.

There were 11 women who recently graduated from the tailoring school, each filled with gratitude and optimism for the opportunities bestowed upon them.

PK’s vision extends beyond the classroom; his wife nurtures the students with not just skills but also spiritual growth. Twelve women are currently enrolled in the intensive class, a transformative journey spanning approximately 3 and a half months.

Beyond the tangible skills acquired, these initiatives serve as a vital safeguard against the scourge of abuse and trafficking, providing vulnerable women with avenues to independence and self-reliance. Pastor PK’s tireless efforts stand as a testament to the power of community-driven solutions in breaking the cycle of poverty and fostering a brighter, more equitable future for all.
